GMB Video Verification Service — Rent Anywhere
Video Verification Service

Google wants to see your location.
We coordinate the next step.

When Google requests a live video walkthrough of your business address, we coordinate an authorized on-site visit and help prepare for the request. Google controls who participates, what evidence it accepts, and whether the listing is approved.

What It Is

Why Google requires video verification

Google Business Profile may use video verification to assess whether a business address is real, accessible, and accurately represented. Google controls the live-call instructions and may ask a participant at the location to show the space, signage, address markers, or other evidence.

Google introduced this step to reduce fraudulent or misleading listings. It is more common in competitive markets, for service-area businesses, and for accounts that Google's systems flag as higher-risk during the review process.

Google confirms the address is real
The reviewer checks that the physical location exists, has visible signage, and matches the listing details.
Google may require a live participant
Google determines who may participate and what must be shown during the call. Remote screenshots or photos may not satisfy its requirements.
An unsuccessful review may delay approval
If Google does not accept the evidence or complete its review, the listing may remain unverified or face additional requirements.

How It Works

What happens, step by step

From the moment Google sends a verification request to the moment your listing goes live.

1
Google sends a verification request
During or after GMB setup, Google may flag the location for video verification. You receive a notification in your Google Business dashboard. You forward it to us or we catch it as part of our managed monitoring.
2
We coordinate the verification logistics
We coordinate an authorized local visit and keep you informed about the steps Google requests. Google controls who may participate and what evidence it accepts.
3
The requested verification takes place
The authorized participant follows Google's live instructions and provides the evidence Google requests. Timing and requirements vary by case.
4
Google reviews the verification
Google reviews the footage and decides whether to approve the listing. We notify you when Google provides an update. Timing and outcome remain under Google's control.
